Judging by the "selected" threads (2 or 3) so far this year....I cannot fathom that absurdity awaits this forum.

This is my favorite time of the year!  Other than hunting season, of course.

I'm pretty sure I'll draw my quality elk permit. Odds are really looking good- about 1 in 200.

I was really agonizing until the last minute on what to put in for with my 16 quality elk points. At the last minute I went points only figuring I had about a 60% chance of coming up with another tag in Washington, Oregon, Montana, Idaho, Wyoming or Nevada. I wanted to be able to do a good tag justice. Glad I did now, I'm gonna be putting my effort into Nevada mule deer.  With odds of draw at 1 in 470 average over the last 5 years The Nevada tag will have my full effort. Washington elk drawings will have to wait.

One downside of putting in for the points option for years and years is when you finally put in and get chosen, your body is no longer able to perform up to the necessary standard.
